FLAG-ERA gathers most regional and national funding organisations (NRFOs) in Europe with the goal of supporting the Future and Emerging Technologies (FET) Flagship concept and more specifically, the FET Flagship initiatives Graphene and Human Brain Project (HBP). FLAG-ERA contributes to the construction of the two Flagship initiatives on graphene and human brain research, and also offers support to the four non-selected pilots to progress towards their goals with adapted means.
The Graphene Flagship includes a Spintronics Work Package exploring the ultimate potential of graphene and two-dimensional materials for spintronic applications. The next revolution will come when using spin for processing information in computers. The participants of this initiative are meeting on May 24 and 25 at the Bellaterra Campus of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), in an event organised by ICREA Research Prof.
On the 13th and 14th of April, the FLAG-ERA Consortium organizes a Kick off Seminar to mark the start of the 19 projects that were selected through the Joint Transnational Call (JTC) 2015.
Recently, the Estonian Research Council (ETAg) and Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Sports (MZOS) have decided to participate in the JTC 2016. ETAg will participate in all 4 topics with a budget of 50 K€ per topic, while the MZOS will participate in the ‘Cooperative Robots’ topic with a budget of 125 K€ .
Individual project sheets have been published recently for each of the 19 projects funded through the FLAG-ERA Joint Transnational Call (JTC) 2015. The sheets contain information on the total project funding, consortium partners as well as the project abstract and key-words. They can be viewed at the page:
